Samsung Customization Service July 2024 update

We are in July 2024 and Samsung has pushed a new update for its Customization Service app with version 3.5.06.2. This update improves user experience by enhancing performance and stability.

This update is available on the Galaxy Store for One UI devices with a package size of 26.06MB. It focuses on fixing issues that users encountered in previous versions. However, it does not include any new features or changes.

Samsung Customization Service app uses data from users’ devices, apps, and services to provide personalized content and recommendations. The company ensures that its devices and services meet users’ individual needs and preferences.

The July 2024 update makes the Customization Service app work even better. Users can update their app directly from the Galaxy Store by going to the Menu and selecting the Updates section. Alternatively, they can download it from a third-party link provided by APKMirror.

The update mainly improves how the app functions by making it more reliable and stable. By addressing reported issues and enhancing performance, Samsung ensures that users have a smoother and more personalized experience.

Besides this, Samsung is also making the Customization Service fucntions compatible with One UI 6.1.1 and One UI 7. The Korean tech giant has already released One UI 6.1.1 with Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, aiming to expand to more devices in the coming days or months.

Samsung phones could soon get Google Wallet Quick Settings Tile

Samsung hide Hotspot icon

Google Wallet could soon add its Tile in Quick Settings of Samsung phones. Pixel phones already feature a Quick Settings Tile, making it easier to access the Wallet app. This exciting news came from an APKTeardown that confirms the feature is under development.

Last month, Google Wallet rolled out a direct notifications function to Android devices. Now, the next significant development in Google Wallet is bracing to bring Quick Settings Tile to Samsung Galaxy phones.

Google Wallet’s version 24.26.x suggests that Quick Settings Tile for Galaxy phones is coming.  As Samsung doesn’t offer QS Tile through the Android system, Google is making it a part of the Wallet application so more users would benefit. Here are the stings found in the new version:

  • <string name=”quick_settings_tile_label”>Wallet</string>
  • <string name=”quick_settings_tile_default_subtitle”>Tap to open</string>

As the feature is hidden behind app strings, the release timeline is uncertain. We guess Samsung phones could get it within July itself. The future release of the Wallet app through the Play Store might deploy QS Tile for general users.

With the One UI 6, the Galaxy maker debuted a radically resigned Quick Settings panel. It brings organized shortcuts that are easier to access than ever. Samsung should bring a dedicated area for Google services shortcuts for user convenience.

Samsung Pay and Samsung Wallet apps are available on Galaxy devices. While the Wallet app is limited to storing cards and offering NFC payments, Samsung Pay/Wallet is acceptable everywhere, thanks to collaboration with local banks and card providers.

Google continues to enhance user experience in Samsung devices. At the recent Unpacked event, both companies came along and reiterated their deep ties. Google is also optimizing its apps for Samsung devices to offer an elevated user experience.

Android 15 could launch in August this year alongside the Pixel 9 series. Samsung will likely begin the One UI 7 Beta Program earlier next month. Meanwhile, non-Beta participants could receive new features announced in One UI 6.1.1 firmware.
