If you are a Samsung user who has a Galaxy Watch or Buds, you might have encountered a problem with the Galaxy Wearable app. The app has been crashing or not launching since the start of 2024. This frustrating issue prevents you from using your watch or buds properly.

Until Samsung and Google fix this issue, there are two possible solutions you can try given below.

Solution 1:

The first solution is to change the date on your watch to December 31, 2023. This might work to fix the bug that is caused by the date change.

To do this, you just need to go to Settings >> General management >> Date and time option on your watch and disable automatic date and time. Set the date manually to December 31, 2023. After that, open the app on your phone and see if it works. If it does, change the date back to the correct one.

Solution 2:

The second solution is to reinstall the app and reset your watch. This will erase your settings and data on your watch, so make sure you have a backup.

To do this, reset your watch by going to Settings >> General Management >> Reset. Uninstall the Galaxy Wearable app and all the associated apps on your phone.

Now, unpair your watch from your phone by going to Settings >> Connections >> Bluetooth. Now, tap on the gear icon next to your watch name and choose Unpair.

Restart your phone and reinstall the app from the Play Store or the Galaxy Store. Connect your watch to your phone again.

Update:

You can check for updates for the app by opening the Galaxy Store app on your phone >> clicking on the Menu option >> Updates.
