Verified Badge feature coming to WhatsApp Channels

WhatsApp Beta v2.24.1.18 is rolling out with the ability to add a verified badge for channels of businesses. The platform seems to be testing the ability to allow users to add a verified badge to their channels.

Mark Zuckerberg recently revealed that the ability for businesses on WhatsApp to subscribe to Meta Verified will be available in the future, which would give them a verification badge for their profile and other advantages.

WhatsApp is incredibly improving the visibility mechanism of channels by businesses. They will get enhanced prominence through the verification checkmark, indicating authenticity.

Moreover, it will help businesses boost their credibility and make them easier to find on the platform. While the feature is still under development, a public rollout will take place with the future Stable build.
