Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series smartphones are set to launch next week. The company will ship the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus with Exynos 2400 chip in most markets, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be available with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor internationally.

Qualcomm officially unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, however, its “for Galaxy” variant is yet to go official. Meanwhile, Samsung revealed key details about its new Exynos 2400 chipset during the Tech Summit last year, which features AMD GPU and Deca Core CPU.

Ahead of the launch, reliable source RolandQuandt revealed details about processors of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series; Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy and Exynos 2400. Apart from this, the same source recently posted a specifications sheet of the trio, find out here.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy:

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chip’s ARM Cortex-X4 Prime Core is clocked at 3.39GHz, while the standard variant is capped at 3.3GHz. The two clusters of ARM Cortex-A720 cores only run at up to 2.9GHz and 3.1GHz, respectively, while the two ARM Cortex-A520 cores can only reach a maximum of 2.2GHz.

Exynos 2400:

Exynos 2400 reaches a maximum of 3.2GHz with its prime core, which is slower than the prime core of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy. The two clusters of ARM Cortex-A720 cores each run at 2.6GHz and 2.9GHz, while the power-saving cores based on ARM Cortex-A520 work at a maximum of 1.95GHz.

Last but not least, Roland disclosed that all countries in which the model number has the suffix “B” will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chipset. This doesn’t apply to the S24 Ultra as it solely uses Qualcomm’s unannounced chipset for the S24 series.
