Samsung Boss heads to 6G as the first management move of 2024

Lee Jae-yong, executive chairman of Samsung Elec ordered “preoccupation of next-generation 6th generation (6G) communication technology” as his first management move of 2024, reports ETNews.

Five years after attending the 5G communication equipment production line opening ceremony in 2019, he visited the 6G research and development site and emphasized his super-gap leadership.

This can be interpreted as formalizing the company’s will to dominate the 6G market, which will become the core of the network business five years from now, and expand its market share.

Samsung revealed that Chairman Lee visited Samsung Research located in Umyeon-dong, Seoul on this day and inspected trends and countermeasures in next-generation communication technology, including 6G.
