Samsung Galaxy Note 20 January 2024 update expands to Europe, Latin America

Following the initial rollout in the US, Samsung is now expanding the January 2024 security update to the Galaxy Note 20 series in Europe and Latin America. At present, the update is gradually being released in Argentina, Colombia, and Switzerland.

Samsung users can identify the January 2024 firmware update via PDA build versions N980FXXS9HXA1 / N981BXXS9HXA1 and N986BXXS9HXA1 for the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra, respectively. You can manually check for the new update by opening:

• Settings >> Software update >> Download and install.

As revealed by the manufacturer, the company’s latest update addresses 74 vulnerabilities on Galaxy devices. You may also feel smoother performance, fewer lags across the user interface, and better screen touch response after installing the release.
