Google has released a new update for Android Auto with version 11.1. The update introduces two new features that let you customize your car’s display to enhance user experience. It arrives with new wallpaper and icon shape features.

You can now set your phone’s wallpaper as the background for Android Auto’s dashboard. You can choose from various wallpapers to make your car’s display more personal. To enable this feature, you just need to open Settings >> Display and turn on the ‘Use phone’s wallpaper in Android Auto’ option.

The icon shape feature changes the appearance of the app icons on Android Auto, depending on the phone’s default icon shape. This feature is especially noticeable for Samsung users, who can see the squircle shape of One UI on their car’s screen.

The update also includes some performance and stability improvements, as well as bug fixes. It is rolling out gradually so it may take hours or days to reach all devices. You can get the update via the Galaxy Store or from the third-party source link.
