Samsung Galaxy AI

In late 2023, chipset designers introduced their premium products equipped with On-device AI capabilities. Smartphones like Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series will boast On-device AI features, however, a new input indicates when it’s coming to mid-range smartphones.

Recently analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that Galaxy AI will help Samsung boost 2024 flagship sales by 10-15% YoY. At the same time, the source mentioned that only high-end smartphones will offer a better user experience with On-device AI services in 2024 and 2025.

This is due to hardware design limitations. As the technology is in its initial stage, chip makers will make it affordable in the near future. This extends your wait to see On-device generative AI capabilities on non-flagship smartphones until at least 2026.

Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series is equipped with Galaxy AI, thanks to the latest Snapdragon and Exynos chips. There will be a lot of generative AI features, implemented across the smartphone and applications. Get ready for the epic unveiling, reserve Galaxy S24 to get free $50 Samsung Credit, up to $1020 savings.

Google Pixel 9 Pro Teaser

Google teased the Pixel 9 Pro smartphone launching on August 13. This year’s Made by Google event is taking place two months before its usual schedule. With early launch, the company aims to better compete with its rivals including Apple and Samsung.

The Pixel 9 Pro teaser has been published on Google Store. It’s a 12-second video clip, which begins with the animation of “Google Pixel” text featuring a Gemini color palette. The text disappears save for “ix” — or the Roman Numeral for 9.

The entire animation screens the appearance of the phone’s camera bar. The phone seems to have three lenses, indicating the Pixel 9 Pro. Interestingly, the teaser video published by Google ends on August 13, 2024, in Roman Numerals.

The event will be held on Tuesday, August 13 from 10 to 11 a.m. PT. You will be able to join the unveiling live through the Google Store and the Made by Google channel on YouTube. In announcing the event, Google has repeatedly mentioned Android, Gemini, and Pixel.

Meanwhile, Samsung is set to introduce the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 in July. The phones will bring new Galaxy AI features and enhancements to the table. However, upgrades to Google AI would be worth seeing as the Galaxy S25 series might be inspired by it.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 crease

Samsung is set to launch its next-generation foldable smartphones, Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6, at the Galaxy 2024 Unpacked Event next month. Several reports have been surfacing online that reveal the features, design, and specs of these devices. A new report reveals that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 may have less visible crease than the Z Flip 5.

According to tipster IceUniverse, the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphone will get slight improvements in the crease in comparison to its predecessor. The company is constantly trying to eliminate the crease in foldable displays, with gradual improvements being made.

The Korean tech giant aims to offer an even better display experience with the less visible crease in its next foldable phones. In foldable display products, the crease is the area where the panel folds and unfolds. It is almost impossible to eliminate the crease, but Samsung is improving it.

Previous reports also revealed that Samsung will use thicker ultra-thin glass (UTG) for the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s folding screen. By using this glass, the smartphones will have smaller crease and durable glass. While the Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes with a UTG of 30 microns, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 might use 50 microns thicker UTG.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Titanium frame

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra might not be limited to South Korea. A new report indicates that the company could launch its first Ultra foldable phone in at least two countries: China and South Korea.

AndroidHeadlines reports that Samsung is planning to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra in China too. Previously, it was reported that the company could keep this exclusive variant limited to its home ground.

Samsung has been working on Q6 and Q6A for a long. As per previous reports, Q6 is the internal codename for the Z Fold 6, while the Q6A is expected to be the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra.

In a surprising development, Samsung SM-W9025 has been spotted on AndroidHeadlines database. It doesn’t match SM-F958N, which is the Korean variant’s model number.

Samsung Z Fold 6 Ultra launch

It is expected that the model number of Samsung’s upcoming foldable in China is quite different from the Korean variant. So rather than Z Fold 6 Ultra, Samsung may opt for W25 Ultra naming for its debut in the Chinese market.

Earlier, Samsung’s Kazakhstan website accidentally published official promo material of the Unpacked. The image revealed the design of the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Since the Z Fold 6 Ultra was missing from the leaked promo, it is expected to be limited to certain markets. Also, rather than the Unpacked stage, the company may pick a later date to introduce its nighty foldable handset.
