CONFIRMED! One UI 6.1 and Galaxy AI coming to select Samsung devices in H1 2024
Ending the long-standing anticipation, Samsung officially launched the Galaxy S24 series. During the Unpacked, Samsung officially confirmed that the Galaxy AI experience with One UI 6.1 update is coming to select premium Galaxy devices in by second half of the year.
It’s worth mentioning that Samsung is already testing One UI 6.1 firmware on many Galaxy devices. While the company hasn’t officially disclosed which models are eligible, it’s expected that the Galaxy S and Z flagships will get the update along with expensive A series phones.

One UI 6.1 and Galaxy AI bring interesting new features to Galaxy S24 series. With the major firmware upgrade, Samsung consumers having the last year’s (or older) flagships, will be able to have epic experiences, thanks to the features derived from Galaxy S24 series.
As showcased in the Unpacked livestream, the new software is equipped with features like Live Translate, Chat Assist, enhanced Android Auto, Note Assist, Transcipt Assist, Circle to Search, upgraded Nightography capabilities, Galaxy AI editing tools, Edit Suggestion, Instant Slow-mo and so on.
