Samsung ditched Director’s View for Dual Recording camera mode on Galaxy S24 series

Samsung has brought a new camera mode to its latest flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S24. The new mode is the Dual Recording, which allows users to capture video from two rear cameras at the same time, creating a split-screen effect. This way, users can record both views at once, without having to choose between them.

On the Galaxy S24 series, the Dual Recording camera mode replaces the Director’s View feature that was launched with the Galaxy S21 series. Director’s View lets users see the video feed from all rear cameras simultaneously and switch between them while recording.

However, Dual Recording offers more flexibility and creativity, as users can record from any two rear cameras, including the ultra-wide, wide, and telephoto lenses.

Dual Recording is available on all three models of the Galaxy S24 series. The Galaxy S24 Ultra also has some exclusive camera features, such as the ability to switch between all the cameras while recording 4K 60fps videos, capture portrait images, better low-light videos using the telephoto camera, and more.
