Google Maps is a popular app for finding and exploring places, especially restaurants and cafes. To enhance the user experience, Google has introduced a new feature to the Google Maps app. The feature matches user-generated food photos with the actual menu items.

The new feature of Google Maps can be found in the Photos tab of a restaurant, cafe, or similar listing. When you swipe through the images, some of them will have a card at the bottom that shows the name of the dish, a brief description from the menu, and sometimes the price and labels like Popular or Vegetarian.

Google uses data collected from users and businesses as well as object recognition technology to identify the dishes. You can also see the full menu by tapping on the See the menu option, which will take you to a dedicated tab.

This feature is not available for all food photos yet, but it is a significant improvement for Google Maps, as it provides more detailed and comprehensive information about the dishes at various restaurants.
