Samsung One UI 6.1 Camera Sharing Feature: Turn your Galaxy phone into a Webcam

Published

Samsung has introduced a new feature named “Camera Sharing” in its latest One UI 6.1 update that allows users to share their Galaxy S24 phone’s camera with a nearby Galaxy tablet. It lets users use their phone as a wireless webcam for video calls, streaming, or recording on their tablet.

To use camera sharing, both devices need to have WiFi, Bluetooth, and camera sharing turned on. The feature is likely compatible only with Galaxy tablets that also run One UI 6.1.

Users can find the camera sharing option in the “Connected Devices” section in their phone’s settings. You just need to turn on the toggle of the Camera Sharing option along with other permissions to use your phone as a webcam.

However, the Camera sharing is different from another wireless webcam feature that Samsung announced at CES 2024. That feature, which is part of the Link to Windows app, enables users to connect their Galaxy S24 phone’s camera with their Galaxy Book 4 laptop.

Samsung introduced One UI 6.1 with the latest Galaxy S series, the Galaxy S24 series. The company will soon release One UI 6.1 update to other Android 14-based Galaxy devices to provide a better and enhanced experience.
