Google Messages bug removes ‘Reply’ option from notifications
Some Google Messages users are facing a weird issue that prevents them from replying to messages from the notification panel. They are not able to see the Reply option on the notification panel.
Instead of the usual options of “Mark as read”, “Reply”, and “Remind 1 hr”, the last two options are not visible in the notification panel. This means users have to open the app every time they want to send a message.

The bug seems to affect only a few users, mostly those who have Pixel devices. It is not clear what causes the bug or how to fix it. Some users have suggested that joining the beta version of Google Messages might restore the reply option.
Google has not yet acknowledged the latest bug or provided a solution for it. Hopefully, the company will soon become aware of this issue and solve it.
