It has been reported that the One UI 6.0 update lacked crucial burn-in protection features. Later, the company implemented the function on affected models including the Galaxy S23 series. However, it looks like there will be more functionalities for the protection of screens from burn-in.

Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series comes with new OLED screens with M13 material set. These screens are brighter, have higher PWM refresh rate than the previous generation, and are efficient to power. With more burn-in protection tricks, the overall lifecycle of the panel will be improved.
