Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus/Ultra don’t display Vivid colors, users report
Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series comes with brighter and power-efficient OLED panels, featuring an M13 material set. Meanwhile, some users report that their new Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone displays washed-out colors compared to the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
According to reports, Samsung’s new Galaxy S24 Ultra display showcases slightly washed-out colors as compared to its predecessor. In particular, the problem occurs when the Vivid mode is enabled from the display color settings in the smartphone.

There are several similar complaints from Galaxy S24 Plus and S24 Ultra users on social platforms like X/Twitter and Reddit. It’s worth mentioning that the ‘Natural’ color profile in the Galaxy S24 Ultra display renders identical colors to the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
It looks like there’s nothing bad with the hardware of the smartphones. The Vivid color profile of the device may be broken (not working in real) due to any software-related glitch. It’s expected that if its a software bug, the next update will address such concern.
