Samsung previously provided Internet of Things ( IoT ) services in China through an app called ‘Samsung Connect.’ This is the first time that the company is launching the SmartThings app exclusively for China.

The ‘Samsung Connect’ app, which can be used to link Samsung products with Chinese devices, has gone one step further by allowing users to link and use various global products with the ‘Smart Things’ app.
