BREAKING: Samsung’s budget-friendly Galaxy Z Fold 6 without S Pen coming
Samsung seems to be serious about bringing foldable to more and more people. While the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 are expected to come as usual, Samsung is reportedly developing a budget-friendly version of Galaxy Z Fold 6 with some hardware downgrades.
Starting with the Z Fold 3, Samsung has been bringing S Pen support to foldable phones every year. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 should get in-built S Pen support, ending the need for an additional case. Meanwhile, Samsung’s budget-friendly Galaxy Z Fold 6 could be ditching S Pen support.

Korean media reports that Samsung is planning to release two types of its next foldable smartphone, Galaxy Z Fold 6. It has been confirmed that additional models are being developed, including a model featuring S Pen, and a model without the S Pen function.
Samsung’s entry-level model is being prepared to expand foldable phone sales. Rather than reducing consumer accessibility by equipping all models with the S Pen function, the strategy is to create a relatively low-priced model to reduce the purchase burden and expand sales.
Samsung is aiming for foldable phones to become mainstream as the smartphone market becomes saturated. This year is expected to be the year when the company’s foldable phones are segmented into high-end and entry-level models.
