Galaxy S25’s 3nm Exynos 2500 chip fails during initial production: Report
Samsung’s premium Exynos chipset returned this year with the Galaxy S24 series. The next Exynos will be fabricated on 3nm process technology. A recent report indicates that Samsung’s 3nm process is facing challenges as initial production fails on Galaxy S25’s Exynos 2500.
Korean outlet DealSite+ reported earlier that Samsung’s 3nm process produced defective products, with a yield rate was achieved 0%. As Samsung’s 3nm Exynos 2500 failed to pass the quality test due to an error, it prevented the mass production of Galaxy Watch 7’s chipset.

In the recent past, it has been reported that the next Exynos chip for the Wearable platform will be manufactured on a 3nm process. After that, the Galaxy S25’s Exynos 2500 processor will be fabricated on the same foundry production node.
As the initially produced products failed, mass production is delayed to an uncertain period. However, the South Korean tech giant will achieve a satisfactory yield rate from its new chip node. It is expected that the yield rate will reach 60% after 6 months from now on.
