In an exciting series of developments, it has been revealed that Samsung’s first cheaper foldable is coming this year! A new report reconfirms that Samsung has a cheaper model of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the works, which has the internal codename Q6A (Bingo).

Beyond that, the first components for the cheaper Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 are manufactured in small quantities. Import/export databases also indicate that the company has been having its Southeast Asian suppliers produce smaller quantities of certain components for both models for months.

As usual, there have been two standard models including the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6. There has also been another internal model number called “Q6A” in the databases since at least November 2023. The internal code names “Q6” and “B6” stand for Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, respectively.

Samsung’s affordable Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have some notable differences from the regular model. While key details are yet to be known, Korean media reports that the company may not provide S Pen stylus support, as part of differentiating it from the regular variant.
