Circle to Search is a new way to search objects without any hassle. Samsung and Google introduced this feature with the Galaxy S24 series, which is currently rolling out to the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. Meanwhile, other Android phones are unlikely to get the Circle to Search feature until at least October this year.

As Circle to Search is powered by Google, Android smartphone users may have been assuming the availability of the feature soon. Meanwhile, it doesn’t happen anytime now as Samsung confirmed Circle to Search will remain exclusive to Galaxy and Pixel devices until October.

According to Samsung Netherlands, Circle to Search will remain exclusive to Google’s Pixel and Samsung Galaxy devices until at least October 2024. So if you were expecting Circle to Search to continue its rollout to other Android devices from other brands, you’re in for a disappointment.

Circle to Search feature was created by Samsung in partnership with Google. It was also introduced by Google for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro the day after Samsung’s event. There are speculations that Android 15 will allow other vendors to implement this function on their respective skins.

“Circle to Search may become available on Android devices from other brands from 5 October 2024, but there are no active developments underway for this.” – Samsung Netherlands.
