If you have a lot of apps on your Android device that you don’t use continuously, you may want to archive them to save some storage space. The feature is currently available on the Google Play Store, and Google may soon make it a native part of the Android OS.

According to the tipster @MishaalRahman, Google is working on integrating the app archiving feature in Android 15. An Android 14 QPR2 beta update shows new testing commands and UI elements for the app collection.

The App Archives feature is not fully available yet, but it suggests that users can archive and unarchive apps from the App Information page in System Settings. It will make the feature more accessible and consistent across different app stores, as well as allow users to manually select which apps they want to archive.

However, this feature is still in development so it is not sure yet whether the company will release it with Android 15 or not. We will have to wait and see if Google introduces this feature to all Android users in the future.
