Samsung removing Google Assistant from its Smart TVs in the US

Google Assistant is going to be removed from Samsung Smart TVs in the US as well as globally. The company has recently published an update on its support page, citing that Google Assistant is going away from Samsung Smart TVs next month.

According to Samsung US (via PhoneArena), due to a change in Google’s policy the Google Assistant will no longer be available on Samsung TVs beginning March 1, 2024. The company further added that Bixby and Amazon Alexa will continue to offer virtual controls further.

Due to a change in Google’s policy, Google Assistant will no longer be available on Samsung TVs beginning March 1st, 2024. – Samsung US.

The change will come into effect starting March 1st this year. As the highly used Assistant service is getting removed, consumers have to deal with Bixby or Amazon Alexa. You will continue to enjoy Google Assistant throughout this month as change is set to take place on the 1st of the next month.

“What’s the weather like today?”
