As per the official changelog, the update improves the stability and reliability of the device.  You can now download it through the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected smartphone. In the Galaxy Wearable app, search for Earbuds software update and click on the Download and install option.

It is noteworthy that you will not be able to use your Galaxy Buds 2 while downloading and installing the update. So keep patience and let the system complete the installation procedure.
