Samsung just recently shared its updated list of Galaxy devices for the February 2024 security update. In this list, one of the best-selling smartphones, Galaxy A51 is missing as it has reached the end of its official update support period.

The company has removed the device from its list of actively updated phones, which means that it will no longer receive security patches or Android upgrades. Now, the phone will not get the latest features, bug fixes, or security enhancements that newer devices will receive.

Back in 2020, Samsung launched a mid-range Galaxy A51 phone that offered a sleek design, a quad-camera setup, a large battery, and a Super AMOLED display. It was also one of the first phones to receive an extra Android upgrade, from Android 10 to Android 13, as well as a fourth year of security updates, thanks to Samsung’s improved update policy.

But this does not mean that the Galaxy A51 is not working or unsafe. The phone still runs on Android 13, which is compatible with most apps and services. It also has the Google Play system updates, which provide some level of protection against malicious software. The Galaxy A51 can still serve as a reliable and functional phone for many users.

However, for those who want to upgrade to a newer and more updated phone, Samsung has some options such as the Galaxy A54.
