Samsung‘s Galaxy S24 series launched with One UI 6.1, which brings several AI-powered enhancements and new features to improve user experience. But what about the older Galaxy devices? When will they receive the same update? It’s been almost a month but till now no old smartphone has received this update. Now, some reports suggest that the wait won’t be too long.

As per the tipster Benit Brushner Pro, One UI 6.1 and Galaxy AI features will be released next month for Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones.

The major One UI update for the Galaxy S23 series will bring a bunch of new features and improvements. These are as follows:

  • Vastly improved animations
  • Many new Galaxy AI features
  • New Lock screen customization features
  • Various bug fixes and stability improvements
  • And more

Another tipster, Tarun Vats, also shared his predictions for the One UI 6.1 rollout on older Galaxy phones. He speculated that the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Z Fold 5 will receive the update in mid-March, either between March 11 to 13 or March 18 to 20. However, he clarified that these are not official dates, but rather his best predictions based on previous patterns.

Although Samsung has not confirmed the exact timeline or the full list of features for the One UI 6.1 update on older Galaxy phones. But the company did reveal last month that some of the Galaxy AI camera features, such as improved Single Take Mode, easy long-exposure mode, and black-and-white image colorization, will be available on older devices.
