Google Messages bringing Edit messages feature for RCS chats
Google is regularly working to enhance the Messages app by bringing new features and enhancements. At the moment, Google Messages is reportedly testing the ability to let users Edit sent messages in RCS chats.
Google Messages is a single-shot activity right now for texting with someone. If you send something, it will remain as it is, meaning if you make a mistake or a silly one, you will have to feel guilty for it.

Meanwhile, the ability to Edit sent messages will give users peace of mind to Google Messages users. The application getting ready to allow users to edit sent texts, making it possible to correct mistakes or revise messages.
The dev enabled some hidden flags and got the edit option to work in the latest beta release of Google Messages. Currently, it’s not fully functional, with edited messages appearing as separate texts in group RCS conversations.
You can easily use this function, just need to long press on a sent text to bring up the edit button. Tap on the pencil icon to start editing the message. Pressing the enter button will automatically update your original message with the edited content.
