Samsung XR Headset key specs leaked, expected to launch in H2 2024
Samsung is actively working on its first headset device and to boost its development the company’s MX division has also formed a secret organization called the Immersive Team. Now, some key specs of Samsung XR Headset have leaked and it’s expected to launch in H2 2024.
As per the details, the first XR headset device from Samsung is arriving to compete with Apple’s Vision Pro and is expected to debut in the H2 of 2024. The upcoming headset model possibly the Samsung Glasses may feature 1.03-inch OLED displays with 3500ppi.
In addition, the XR headset will also have the ability of full-color passthrough with low latency and it will be powered on the newly launched Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip and offer Wifi 7 for better connectivity.

The newly launched chip – Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 which will be used in Samsung’s upcoming headset offers 4.3K per eye resolution with up to 90 frames per second. The company claims that it will offer extremely clear visuals in different scenarios, such as large screens, virtual desktops, and life-size overlays.
It also supports 12+ concurrent cameras, which help with hand and body tracking, and offers a 15% bump in GPU and a 20% bump in CPU frequency.
