WhatsApp will soon add a shortcut to place calls to favorite contacts quickly
WhatsApp has been working on a feature to add some of the contacts to favorites for a long time, and this ability is currently in development. WhatsApp has also started planning to add a shortcut that will allow users to place calls to their favorite contacts quickly.
As per the details, the selected favorite contacts will prominently display at the top of the calls tab, enhancing access to frequently contacted users with just a single tap. This shortcut saves valuable time, particularly in some situations or when frequently contacting specific contacts.
Moving on, this enhancement will improve accessibility, and eliminate the need to sift through their entire contact list. Users will also have the ability to manually choose their favorite contacts by selecting them from the contacts picker, ensuring a personalized experience.

However, the feature to designate favorite contacts to quickly place calls is currently under development and it will be available in a future update of WhatsApp.
