Samsung Galaxy A51 5G gets February 2024 update, 4G feeling forgotten

Samsung has rolled out the February 2024 security update to its mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A51 5G. The update is available in Europe and fixes several security flaws that were found in the previous software version.

The Korean tech giant is making the February 2024 update available for the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G smartphone through One UI Builld version A516BXXS8FXA1. The company will soon expand this update in more markets.

The update does not bring any new features, so the download size is relatively small. Users can check for the update by going to Settings >> Software update >> Download and install.

The Galaxy A51 5G is not the only mid-range device to receive the February 2024 security update. Samsung also released a fresh security patch for the Galaxy A71 5G.

However, not all Galaxy A series phones are getting the same treatment. The Galaxy A51 4G, which was one of the best-selling smartphones of 2020, has been left out of the February 2024 security update list.

This is because the Galaxy A51 4G has reached the end of its official update support period, which means it will no longer receive any new features, bug fixes, or security enhancements.
