Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 is not coming to the US: Report

Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 has recently hit the Indian market, and now a new report suggests that, this new fitness tracker will not come to the US. This news may disappoint US consumers who were waiting for the launch of this prominent device, packed with significant features, capabilities, and more.

As per the information, Galaxy Fit 3 will be sold in select regions including Europe, Central America, South America, and Asia. However, there are no plans to sell the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 in the US or other specific nations such as Canada and the UK due to market trends or the needs of each region.

To be mentioned, Samsung doesn’t see a large enough fitness tracker market to balance out the trade, distribution, and software support costs necessary to launch the Galaxy Fit 3 in the US and this seems to be the main reason for restricting the launch of smartbans in the major market.

Simultaneously, a Canalys report hints that the total fitness band sales for this year are projected at 33 million which is lower than what we have seen in the last four years – it totals about 80 million in 2020, 60 million in 2021, 40 million in 2022, and 35.8 million in 2023.

While, the smartwatch sales are estimated to jump 17% to 82 million, and non-smart watches will reach nearly 90 million sold in 2024. Thus, Samsung must be planning to keep its wearables under premium products, and the Korean tech giant might want to have a more premium reputation in the US.
