Xiaomi 14 Ultra takes on Galaxy S24 Ultra with advanced camera, larger battery and more

Last month, Samsung launched the much-awaited Galaxy S24 series with several premium features and capabilities. And now a new device called Xiaomi 14 Ultra has been launched, to compete with Galaxy S24 Ultra with an advanced camera, bigger battery, and more notable functionalities.

Yes, the Chinese tech maker has recently unveiled its all-new Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone, the device comes with various pro-grade abilities which are enough to rival the Galaxy S24 Ultra model from the South Korean tech giant. So, without wasting time, let’s delve into the details.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra

Xiaomi 14 Ultra features a 6.73-inch 2K OLED LTPO display with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels, and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. It supports HDR formats like Dolby Vision and HDR Vivid. The display boasts adaptive refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz and utilizes 12-bit color depth technology.

The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and offers three storage variants of 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 16GB RAM with 512GB storage, and 16GB RAM with 1TB storage. It runs on Android 14-based HyperOS to let users interact with recent advancements.

In terms of photography, the  Xiaomi 14 Ultra offers a quad-camera system with a Leica Summilux lens, including a Sony LYT-900 1-inch 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle with an f/1.8 aperture, a 50MP portrait telephoto, and 50MP periscope telephoto lens with OIS, an f/2.5 aperture.

On the front, the device has a 32MP camera sensor to take selfies and make video calls. Simultaneously, the comprehensive light intake of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is 205% greater than the Phone 15 Pro Max, making it the industry leader in one-inch sensor light intake.

The device further includes Xiaomi’s dual satellite communication, 5300mAh battery capacity with support of 90W turbo wired fast charging and 50W turbo wireless fast charging. However, it is also paired with an additional camera grip, which increases to 6800mAh.

Last but not least, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra also comes with a Titanium Special Edition variant just like the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Accordingly, the smartphone is currently released in China and may also have a global rollout in the coming months.
