One UI 6.1 introduces several new features and enhancements to the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, including the Improved Motion Photo feature. The company plans to release this feature to older Galaxy devices with the One UI 6.1 update.

Motion Photo is a function that provides not only static photos but also lively and dynamic photos. Through Motion Photo, the movement or situation of the moment in the photo can be better conveyed. Additionally, by using Motion Photo, you can save all the fun moments 3 seconds before shooting.

With One UI 6.1, Samsung is bringing the improved Motion Photo feature to some older Galaxy devices. These are:

  • Galaxy S22 series
  • Galaxy S23 series
  • Galaxy Z Fold 5
  • Galaxy Z Flip 5
  • Galaxy S23 FE
  • Galaxy Tab S9 series
  • Galaxy Z Fold 4
  • Galaxy Z Flip 4

Users can easily enable this feature through Camera’s Photo Mode. To do so, you just need to open Photo Mode >> Quick Settings >> Press the Motion Photo icon to activate.

The Galaxy S24 allows users to take photos in rapid succession without worrying about storage space, thanks to a video compression algorithm. It also ensures that the quality of Motion Photo videos matches that of still photos through Preview HDR.

One of the most notable additions is the AI upscale technology. This allows users to select a moment from the Motion Photo and convert it into a high-quality 12MP photo, capturing even the briefest moments in detail.

However, users should note that Motion Photo is not available in low-light nightography mode. To use Motion Photo, the nightography function must be turned off.

With the rollout of One UI 6.1, Samsung continues to enhance the photography capabilities of its smartphones, ensuring users can capture their memories in the best possible way. The above-mentioned devices are expected to get this amazing camera feature with One UI 6.1.
