Samsung is reportedly preparing the next One UI iteration, One UI 6.1.1, for its Galaxy devices this year too. One UI 6.1.1 has just been confirmed by a moderator through its community post. The new One UI version is expected to introduce some new features and enhancements, especially for devices with larger screens.

One of the highlights of One UI 6.1.1 could be the Vertical App Drawer feature of the Samsung Home Up Good Lock module. It will let users scroll the apps vertically instead of horizontally. This will make it easier to access and organize apps.

The Home Up’s Vertical App Drawer feature has been teased by a Samsung community moderator, who said that it is in progress and will be supported in One UI 6.1.1. However, the moderator also mentioned that the release schedule may vary depending on the development.

One UI 6.1.1 is expected to roll out in the next few months ahead of One UI 7. It will be based on Android 14. Samsung is also gearing up to launch the next generation of foldable smartphones – Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. If Samsung follows its tradition then One UI 6.1. will be released with these foldables.

According to Mod:

“Home Up vertical scrolling is in progress with the goal of being supported in One UI 6.1.1, but please understand that the support schedule may change.”
