Honor is working on a smart ring that will rival Samsung‘s Galaxy Ring. The Galaxy Ring is Samsung’s first entrance into the smart ring market, and it features multiple sensors that can monitor the wearer’s health, such as heart rate and blood pressure.

Honor’s CEO George Zhao revealed that his company is also developing a smart ring, which he said is part of Honor’s broader focus on health, as per CNBC reports. He did not disclose much details about the product, but he said that it will work with AI-enabled apps to provide professional training courses and suggestions based on the user’s habits and health data.

Further, Zhao said that he believes AI will transform health applications and devices, and he showcased Honor’s eye-tracking technology on its smartphone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this week.

Honor has been expanding its presence outside of China and in the premium market with its wearables and smartphones. With a smart ring, Honor could add another device to its portfolio and compete with Samsung in the emerging product category.
