Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will offer 7 Android OS upgrade support: Tipster

Samsung shipped the Galaxy S24 series with 7 years of Android and security updates, meanwhile, a new leak claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will also offer the same upgrade support. To be mentioned, this longer update support will make the upcoming foldable reliable and more relevant.

According to the information of @TheGalox_, the Pixel Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be the only book-style foldable that will receive 7 years of Android and security updates. Notably, the approach of giving this much longer Android support started with Google’s Pixel 8 devices.

Before the information on Galaxy Z Fold 6 update support, a previous leak also indicated that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 would ship with a 7 Android OS upgrade. Hence, users can expect the Galaxy S24-like software on the sixth-generation foldable models the Fold 6 and Flip 6.
