Samsung is working on its next iteration of Android custom skin – One UI 6.1.1, which is expected to arrive with Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 foldable phones. Notably, this One UI 6.1.1 software will bring some significant features and optimizations such as the Vertical App Drawer to Home Up Good Lock module.

As per the details, a Samsung moderator recently confirmed that the firm is preparing to provide the vertical app drawer feature with the One UI 6.1.1 update. It means the next version of Samsung’s custom skin based on Android 14 will bring back the Vertical App Drawer to the Good Lock’s Home Up module.

This new feature will let users scroll the apps vertically instead of horizontally, which makes it easier to access and organize apps, especially on big-screen devices. To be mentioned, the app drawer is a feature that is available in every smartphone and shows all of the applications installed on the device.

However, Samsung is expected to bring  One UI 6.1.1 an intermediate version of One UI in July pre-installed with sixth-generation foldables. Then it will be released for more Galaxy devices in the future and bring back the vertical app drawer, to offer users a more optimized and adequate experience.

Therefore, before the unveiling of One UI 6.1.1, Samsung first needs to release its latest version of the software, as the users of eligible devices are currently waiting to acquire the offerings of Android 14-based One UI 6.1 which is expected to offer bundles of advance functionalities and optimizations.
