Samsung bids farewell to Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Galaxy S10 Lite devices from its software update support. It means, both these devices will not receive any One UI update or security patches further. Therefore, it could be bad news for those, who are still rocking with Lite versions of the S10 and Note 10 series.

As per the details, Samsung today shared the revised software support document for March 2024, which usually adds and removes devices. This time, the company hardly included any new phones on the list but it entirely vanishes Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Galaxy S10 Lite, two prominent devices.

As of now, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Galaxy S10 Lite were listed in the Quarterly Updates list, but now there’s no place for them. Hence, both devices have to remain on the February 2024 security patch. Accordingly, critical security updates may be released for these devices if a serious security flaw is discovered.

Furthermore, this move-end update support for Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite effectively discontinues software support for all models within the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 series.

It’s also worth mentioning that, the discontinuation of the software support will not bother the functioning of the devices, but we suggest upgrading to a new model as regular security patches are necessary to maintain the phone’s reliability.
