Samsung has pushed a new update with the September 2024 security patch for the Galaxy A54 5G smartphone in Canada. The fresh update improves the system’s security and stability to provide a better experience.

The Korean Tech giant is making the September 2024 security update available for Samsung Galaxy A54 in Canada with One UI build version A546WVLS8CXH3. This update is already out for unlocked models of this update in the US.

The latest update enhances system security and stability by fixing several issues to provide a better Galaxy experience. The update also improves the performance of the devices by enhancing some functions.

However, it does not include new features or changes but installs the latest Android security patch to make your device more secure. Users need to download around 300MB package to install the update.

September 2024 Security Patch Details

The latest security patch addresses 1 critical and 43 high levels of CVEs for the Android operating system. However, 1 CVE was resolved by previous updates from the company, and 1 is not relevant to Galaxy devices.

Besides Google patches, Samsung offers 23 SVE items to improve user experience. The latest security patch fixes various issues related to My Files, Theme Center, One UI Home, Knox, Dex, and more.

To check and install the update via a few easy steps. First, navigate to Settings >> select Software Updates from the menu >> tap on the Download and Install option to initiate the update process. If the update is available, proceed to install it.

Samsung Galaxy A54 5G gets September 2024 security update

This month, Samsung has kicked off the rollout of the September 2024 security update, beginning with its latest flagship, the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The company is regularly working to extend this update to more devices soon.

Samsung September 2024 Security Update Plan: Monthly, Quarterly, and Biannual models revealed

Samsung will soon roll out the latest Expert RAW update for Galaxy devices. The company debuted new features with the One UI 6.1.1 update. Some of the new additions and fixes require an updated Expert RAW app, which is coming super soon.

Expert RAW update could also fix Samsung Galaxy’s color banding and highlight issues. A Korean community moderator confirmed that the new version is ready. It is advised to recheck the camera performance on the new version.

Samsung’s Expert RAW is buggy when it comes to shooting with Telephoto. A consumer highlighted the color banding and highlighting issues while capturing the pictures using Samsung Galaxy’s Telephoto camera app.

The app is causing a clearly visible while highlight effect around the picture border. However, it mainly occurs when shooting with the Telephoto cam. Also, not all models are affected by the color banding and highlights problem.

The moderator noted that the image was captured in a frame in daylight. The developers have taken measures to prevent this from happening, with fixes applied in a new Expert RAW version, which is set to roll out to eligible models soon.
