Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are getting a March 2024 security update in the US. The update is currently rolling out to unlocked models of these foldable devices on the Verizon network.

March 2024 security update fixes 2 critical and 35 high vulnerabilities in Android, and Samsung also adds 9 enhancements to its user experience, such as AppLock, Bootloader, and some services. It improves system security and stability to provide a better performance.

Users of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphones in the US can identify the latest March 2024 security update through One UI build version F731USQS2BXBE and F946USQS2BXBE respectively.

It is an initial rollout so it may take some hours or days to reach all models. The company will soon make this update available in more markets.

To check the update, you just need to navigate to the device’s Settings, then a Software update, and Download and install. If you have received the update, install it now to get enhanced features.

Before you download, make sure to connect your device to a Wi-Fi network, or make sure it has a strong Verizon wireless network connection. In addition, ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update.
