Android 15 to bring Windows-like shortcut keys to keyboards

Google‘s Android 15 may introduce a feature that has long been a part of the Windows experience – Sticky keys. This function allows users to more easily execute a keyboard shortcut without the need to hold down keys like Shift, CTRL, or ALT, followed by another key.

Mishaal Rahman has spotted the sticky key feature in the physical keyboard settings. It is currently being tested in the Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2, suggesting that it could be included in Android 15.

In addition to sticky keys, the beta also introduces Bounce Keys, designed to ignore rapid successive key presses. While these features are still in the beta phase, their presence hints at Google’s plan to improve Android’s keyboard functionality.

These keyboard features may or may not be present in the final release of Android 15. As of now, the company has not confirmed anything so we will have to wait for the official release or announcement.
