Apple is working on its next generation of iPads, and the display driver chips (DDI) that will be equipped in the upcoming OLED iPads will be exclusively supplied by Samsung. However, it is extremely rare to solely supply DDI to Apple, but the Korean tech giant did it.

Samsung display driver chips (DDI) will be applied to the Apple 11-inch iPad Pro and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models. Not only iPhones, but iPhones also use Samsung Display OLED and Samsung Electronics DDI, as they deliver an ultimate color and offer crisp visuals.

Apple is famous for sticking to the multi-vendor policy of diversifying its component supply lines to reduce unit prices and stabilize supply and demand. But this time, the firm is going exclusively with Samsung in terms of applying display driver chips in its next Apple OLED iPads.
