Published

Google has disclosed that its I/O 2024 developer conference will take place on May 14. The event will start with a keynote from CEO Sundar Pichai at the Shoreline Amphitheater in California. This year, I/O 2024 will have both live attendees and an online broadcast.

Since 2016, Google has held I/O at this venue, except for a break in 2020 and a virtual event in 2021. This year, there will be a limited number of people in the audience, but the event will also be streamed live for everyone else.

The second day, May 15, will offer more activities for those present. Unlike the previous three-day events, I/O has been a one-day event for the past two years.

Registration for the event is now open and those who register will get updates about the event’s schedule and sessions by email. They can also personalize their experience by saving content that’s relevant to them.

The conference is expected to focus on new developments in AI, the upcoming Android 15, and possibly Android XR. The Pixel 8a might be introduced in this event. Stay tuned for more information related to the I/O event.
