Google Drive bringing handy Categories feature for better file management
Google Drive is set to enhance its file management system with its upcoming Categories feature. This new functionality is designed to help users organize their files more efficiently.
The Categories feature aims to simplify access to documents by allowing users to organize their files into 12 different categories, including Auto, Banking, Expenses, Home, IDS, Insurance, Medical, Pets, School, Taxes, Travel, and Work.

With 15GB of free cloud storage, Google Drive users often find themselves searching through numerous folders and subfolders to locate important documents. The Categories feature promises to solve this issue by providing a more intuitive way to manage and retrieve files.
Users will be able to manage their files’ categories by selecting the ‘Manage Categories’ option from the context menu, which can be accessed by tapping the three dots icon next to each file.
Google Drive will let you categorise files for easier file management 📂
I spotted this feature in January but was not sure if it's a new feature or already exists for workspace users!!
