Samsung Galaxy S24 series sales are surprising – all thanks to Plus variant
Launched back in January 2024, the Galaxy S24 series is like a game changer consisting of three models Standard, Plus, and Ultra. Additionally, this newly released series is achieving great sales in the markets, and this can be attributed to the high demand for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus.
As per the Counterpoint report, the sales of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series grew 8% YoY during its first three respective weeks of availability compared to the Galaxy S23 series. Among these, the Galaxy S24 and S24 Ultra units demand remained relatively flat compared to the Galaxy S24 Plus.
Yes because of its cutting-edge features, powerful processor, ultimate camera capabilities, and bigger battery, the Plus model of the Galaxy S24 series is gaining a lot of popularity in the market. The sales of the Galaxy S24 Plus were 53% higher than the Galaxy S23 Plus during the same three-week period.

Whereas, the demand for the standard version increased by 4% compared to the base Galaxy S23. While, the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s total sales were 1% lower than those of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, accounting for 52% of all sales of the Galaxy S24 series.
However, the sale of Galaxy S24 Plus is regarded as 21% of the overall sales of the Galaxy S24 series, compared to just 15% of all Galaxy S23 series sales.
Minsoo Kang, Senior Analyst at Counterpoint said,
- “The big driver this year for Samsung’s key flagship has been the S24 Plus model,” “It’s hitting the sweet spot on pricing, nudging upgraders as well as specs to support new users wanting optimized on-device AI.”
