Verizon is rolling out the March 2024 security update to 5 popular Galaxy smartphones, including Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S21 FE, and Galaxy S21 FE (2022). The update is available for locked models in the US.

The fresh security update improves system security and stability by fixing several issues encountered in the previous versions. In addition, the update enhances some functions to provide a better performance and user experience.

March 2024 Security Update Details

The fresh security patch fixes over 45 security flaws including 2 critical and 35 high-level vulnerabilities. Samsung also adds 9 enhancements to its user experience, such as AppLock, Bootloader, and some services. However, it does not include any new features or changes.

How to update?

To check the update, you just need to navigate to the device’s Settings, then a Software update, and Download and install. If you have received the update, install it now to get enhanced features.

Before you download, make sure to connect your device to a Wi-Fi network, or make sure it has a strong Verizon wireless network connection. In addition, ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update.
