Samsung will disclose its 2nm process tech for the first time on March 20

Samsung is one of the top contenders in the semiconductor race and a recent report suggests that the Korean tech giant will unveil its 2nm process tech for the first time on March 20. However, the mass production of these advanced semiconductors that use the 2nm process will start next year.

As per the details, Samsung Electronics will disclose some of its 2nm (SF2) process technology at the SNUG Silicon Valley held by Synopsis in the US on March 20 and 21. FYI, a few days back, Samsung also announced that its 2nd gen 3nm chip process will officially be called the 2nm process.

Simultaneously, the Korean tech giant also strengthening cooperation in the 2nm process with semiconductor design asset (IP) companies such as Synopsis and Arm. On this day, both companies plan to disclose the IP technology and development status that supports Samsung’s 2nm process.

It’s also worth mentioning that alongside Samsung Electronics some other companies like Intel, TSMC’s design house (VCA), RChip, NVIDIA, and AMD will also share their design technology at this conference. As Synopsis SNUG Conference is an annual event that shares semiconductor design technology and trends.
