One UI 6.1’s LockStar app update adds advanced AOD editing and brightness options
Samsung LockStar Good Lock module is receiving a fresh update with version 6.1.0.11 for One UI 6.1 devices. The update comes with two new features for Always On Display to enhance the lock screen customization.
The new update of the Samsung LockStar app brings the Edit AOD function for more personalized settings. In addition, it introduces a manual brightness slider for AOD, offering users the ability to adjust the display brightness manually.

To access these two new features, users must update their Always On Display (AOD) to version v8.7.99.11 or later. This latest version is compatible with devices that have been upgraded to Android 14-based One UI 6.1.
However, it’s important to note that these functions are not available on devices with a full-screen AOD, such as the Galaxy S24. Meanwhile, other Galaxy devices including Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 5, Flip 5 and more can enjoy these features.
Users can get this update via Galaxy Store >> Menu option >> Updates. If you are using a Galaxy device running One UI 6.1, you can enjoy these two new features after installing the latest update.
Aside from this, Samsung plans to improve the widget placement and size adjustment on the lock screen through a new update on One UI 6.1 devices. This will provide even more control over their lock screen layout.
