Google is set to introduce a significant update to the user interface with its next Android OS release. Android 15 update will bring a modern look to the status bar, featuring redesigned icons and introducing haptic feedback for an enhanced user experience.

As per the latest information, the status bar will get a makeover with Android 15. However, Google hasn’t provided a major redesign to it since the introduction of Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The refreshed icons will have a segmented look of earlier Android versions, and for the first time, the battery icon will display the charge level internally rather than next to the icon.

In addition to the visual changes, Android 15 will also introduce haptic feedback to the Quick Settings panel and volume slider. This means that users will feel a slight vibration when interacting with these elements. The introduction of haptic feedback is a significant step as users can not only see but also feel the changes they make on their devices.

Although these updates are not yet available in the current developer preview, they are expected to be included in the upcoming public beta releases.

By integrating redesigned status bar icons and the Haptic feedback feature, Google aims to provide a more responsive and engaging interface with Android 15.
