Samsung Galaxy S23 series began receiving the latest One UI 6.1 update with Galaxy AI enhancements in late March 2024. This update introduced several new features and improvements to provide a better Galaxy experience. Following its One UI 6.1 release, users of the Galaxy S23 series started facing various performance issues, including one with the fingerprint scanner.

Users have reported an issue where the animation for the fingerprint scanner does not appear when attempting to unlock their Galaxy S23 smartphones after One UI 6.1. This issue requires them to try unlocking their phones multiple times, which is inconvenient considering how often we use our phones throughout the day.

The issue with fingerprint recognition has been encountered by several users. It’s worth noting that such technical issues are common after significant software updates that come with numerous new functionalities.

Samsung is currently not aware of this issue, but it is hoped that the company will acknowledge it soon and address it promptly with an upcoming software update.

In addition to this, users are facing several other issues. Notably, users have reported a reduction in charging speed, with the device now taking longer to reach full battery capacity. Moreover, there have been observations that the phone operates at higher temperatures than before the update.
