Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is said to fold away the foldables’ biggest burden, achieving the Lightweight Champion status. Industry insider IceUniverse revealed the weight of Samsung’s next Z Fold smartphone, which crushes the OnePlus Open’s edge.

Leaker says the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be surprisingly lightweight. The tipster claims it to be 239 grams in weight – the same as OnePlus Open’s Voyager Black edition. It’s a big development towards Samsung’s approach to bringing foldables’ to the mainstream.

Reduced weight benefits users in many ways; increased comfort, improved one-handed use, and enhanced pocketability. If the leak is true, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will finally enter the “first tier” of lightweight flagships, putting it on par with OnePlus Open.

Samsung continuously worked on reducing the weight of Galaxy Z Fold phones. The Z Fold3 weighed 276 grams, the Z Fold4 came in at 258 grams, while the Z Fold 5 weighs 253 grams. Google’s Pixel Fold weighs 283 grams, making the Z Fold 6 an undisputed winner in portability.
